Laughter and love. I think both of those are very important in life. And if you can find a good balance between both, you should hold on to it, for it is truly a great thing.

Natalie and AJ are getting married this fall. After one rained out engagement session, the sun finally made an appearance to provide some gorgeous light for the rescheduled shoot. I’ve been processing their images today, and what I’ve seen is lots of laughter and love. Their pictures make me smile (and it’s always nice to smile at work on a Monday).

These four are my favorite series:

    Happy Monday! :-)

Kim and Joe were married a couple of weeks ago in a beautiful ceremony at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Here are some of my favorites…there are quite a few :-)

Kim having her hair and makeup done:

    And some details:

Beth captured these gorgeous shots of Kim:

And during that time, Andreas was taking some cool shots of Joe and the guys:

I’ve always thought Catholic churches are some of the most pretty churches, and Holy Spirit did not disappoint.

The newly married Kim and Joe:

The reception at Courtyard by Mariott in Vinings was filled with dancing, laughter, love and lots of good times.

    Happy Thursday!

You may remember Sheri and Bill from their engagement session last month. Their wedding was a couple of Saturdays ago, with a lovely ceremony at Perimeter Church and reception at Little Gardens.

First, some details of the day…

The guys were having some fun while the ladies were getting ready.

    Doesn’t Sheri look stunning?

    One of my favorites:

Sheri and Bill, can’t wait for you guys to come in to see the rest of the images! Thank you for letting us be a part of your day and may you be blessed with a lifetime of happiness!

    Happy Monday!

Last year I had the honor of being a bridesmaid in my friend Laurie’s wedding. We were given the option of having airbrush makeup and/or our hair done the day of the wedding, and of course we all chose to let the professionals make us over for the day (and actually those two items became part of our bridal party gifts, which I thought was totally awesome as I’m all about practical gift-giving). In the end, we all had some gorgeous hair and makeup, but it wasn’t airbrush makeup as I had thought.

So you can imagine that I was totally stoked (wow, haven’t used that word in ages) when Beth told me we were going to have an airbrush makeup session with the fabulous Christina Kazadzis of Touch of Color. Christina recently relocated here from California and I’m glad we have her here in Atlanta.

For anyone out there thinking of airbrush makeup…it’s totally worth it. I’m not blessed with good skin, but Christina knew what she was doing and managed to cover up all of my imperfections. I’m also not a very girly girl…I like to wear jeans, t-shirts and comfy sneakers. I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup, and I hate having that heavy, cakey feeling on my face. Airbrush makeup is my new friend though, my skin looked good and I didn’t feel like I was wearing a lot of makeup. The one word I have to sum up the experience: fantabulous.

Afterwards, Beth and I had our own photo session around the new outdoor studio space. I’m not quite done going through those images yet, as it’s been a very hectic day here, so stay tuned for more!

Sheri and Bill were in for their engagement session a few weeks ago. Beth took them to the Chattahoochee River to have some fun, and came away with some wonderful images.

This is one of my favorites. I adore laughing shots…there’s just something so real and joyful about them.

    and because it’s Friday:

      5 good things:
    1. Being able to spend time with my friends this week
    2. Chocolate (I splurged and had a Chick-fil-A brownie today….so yummy)
    3. Being busy
    4. Reformatting the hard drive on my computer here at the studio
    5. Wisteria

    Happy Friday everyone!

The good news: we’ve been so busy lately that my desk isn’t big enough to hold all of the things I have to do.

The bad news: my desk isn’t big enough to hold all of the things I need to do, and I’ve been a real slacker when it comes to blogging.

I have quite a few sessions to blog about, but here is the one I promised to show the other day.

Amy and Buff are getting married in October. They were here a couple of weeks ago for their engagement session. Beth took them to the river and got lots of cute shots, then brought them back here for some more fun shots on our property. All in all it was a great session and their images turned out beautifully.

    I love this series:

The old car is definitely my favorite :-)

Amy and Buff could not be any sweeter and I’m really looking forward to seeing the images from their wedding!

If you’d like to see more of their engagement session, watch the slideshow!

I’m leaving tomorrow to go on vacation (yipee!) and I’ll try to post something with some pretty pictures while I’m away! :-)

A busy day rushed in with spring weather… again. Filled with Tents – Events – Calligraphy – Planners – Beer – Romantic getaways – Makeup – Flowers – and the list could go on. Where was all this, you ask?? at 755 Club at Turner Field with the event put on by Atlanta Occasions and Atlanta Bride and Groom Planner. I have been to a lot of toad kissing networking events – but this was not one of them.. The energy in the room was great and the ideas were flowing!

Seated next to me was Maren Nicholas from Dreamweaver Calligraphy. Brides – Imagine the task of adressing your envelopes not only being done for you – but completed in a way that your invitations are a work of art?

On the other side were Cindy and Anna who work with Max Lager’s on Peachtree Street – always great to find new and unique places to meet friends and eat out in Atlanta.

People who work in the wedding industry are fun!

    3. Getting a long overdue hair cut and color
    4. Lunch with friends
    5. Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches…they are quite yummy and not so bad for you :-)

    Happy Friday!

When I’m post-processing wedding images, I can always see the joy and the love between the bride and groom.
With certain weddings (more often than not around here), those emotions are so strong they just radiate from each image, causing me to smile and making the work of editing their images not feel like work at all.

Anna and Tim are definitely one of these “full of love and joy” weddings. Jonathan and Andreas did an awesome job capturing the story of their day.

Here are some of my favorites from their day:

I love the giant smile on Tim’s face as Anna was walking down the aisle…

They had a lovely reception at Little Gardens

Congratulations Anna and Tim! Thank you for letting us be a part of your wonderful day!
